Ronny Zaman is best known for his role as a director of a private bank that was established by his father, Mr Akhtaruzzaman Chowdhury Babu, a veteran businessman and politician. Mr Zaman is also chairman of three more industry-leading organisations: Navara Pharmaceuticals, Anowara Construction Ltd and Gas One.
Although he was born in a small town with limited resources, Ronny Zaman’s dreams, determination and drive were boundless. After completing his high school education, Mr Zaman attended Palm Beach Atlantic College in Florida, USA, graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. Alongside his studies, he began dabbling with a series of early-stage businesses, including a tech start-up that quickly gained traction. He cites these early days in his entrepreneurial journey as teaching him some profound lessons about business, enabling him to bounce back from setbacks, overcome challenges and recognise underutilised opportunities.

Chattogram Maa-O-Shishu Hospital is the largest medical facility in Chittagong, Bangladesh, and provides local people with free medical treatment.
